Buffy: No guy is worth your life, not ever.
BELLA SWAN, take note.
When I started reading these books (long before the movies, before I knew there was such a huge fan and hate base) I kept waiting for someone like Buffy to tell Bella this, to let her know how true this is. “No guy is worth your life ever.” I was so angry and disappointed when I finished the last book. Not because the poor widdle werewolf didn’t get the girl, but because everyone was cool with him harrassing a toddler. And Bella never got to find her own strength or face the demons (inner or literal). She marries the abuser and has bruises after the only love scene. I cannot express my hatred and vile contempt of the series. (Buffy on the other hand was my first hero as a little girl and continues to make me happy.)
